Dare to Care
Self-Care:
To put oneself first. Whether that is emotionally, physically, spiritually, or any other way you need it is important. You might already be taking care of yourself in one of these ways or you might have no clue where to start. Here are just some of the basic ways you can start taking care of yourself.
Physically
Exercise; Whatever the reason you are wanting to start exercising is very important. Now you don’t have to put it all over the social media or tell everyone. It’s most important that you know why you are trying to accomplish this task.
Is it to have better blood markers for longevity?
Is it because it hurts when you bend over to tie your shoe?
Is it because you saw a photo of someone on the internet and for whatever reason you feel like you need to look that way?
Whatever the reason that you begin keep that in mind as you continue on your journey, because more than likely at some point that initial reason is going to change and shift some and you have to be ready you recenter yourself and continue on that path.
Nutrition: The reason’s can be similar to those stated above.
Is it a cool fad diet you saw someone claim they lost 40 lbs in 2 weeks on?
Do you have a autoimmune disorder the prevents you from eating certain things
Do you have specific sport performance goals that need more in depth nutritional considerations
Or doy you just want to look good naked?
These are all valid reasons once again, but do not underestimate the importance of mental health when it comes to figuring out your nutrition. If you have ever had mental struggles with food in some way or another can severe underlying issue that may derail you at a moments notice. Remember, in order for things to change things have to change.
Psychological:
Do you have a therapist? Why or Why not? Right into the important topics of conversations. Self care and mental wellness can require professional help. Gone are the days of not expressing what is needed and necessary to have a balance of Physical Strength and mental Strength. In order to take care of all aspect of what make you who you are you almost certainly need to start with the mental side. There can be self sabotage, avoidant attachment styles, and adaptive trauma response that will only allow you to go so far until you learn to understand them and learn from them. These can refer to the emotional connection you have with food, or the anxiety attached to doing something new. Having the proper help and self care to get you working on those emotional muscles is essential for growing and becoming mentally strong to go along with physically strong
Spirt/Essence:
In finding that balance between mind and body there is this van-diagram overlap that can be describes as you, your spirt, your essence. Combine the physical and mental in order to figure out what it is that makes you truly who you are. The unmeasurable passion that you bring, the joy you create and the fulfillment you can express to the world in that unique unmatched idea of you. The past the present and the future you weave in and out of, with choices, decisions, and pivots that can unspeakably align you with what brings you true joy. But who knows that’s just my humble opinon.
